My new favorite drink

 

I thought I would take a break from editing and share one my new favorite/good for you drinks! If you are a coffee holic like me, you know that even though it is so good, that much caffeine is not good for you. I wanted to switch over to tea and one of my favorite drinks from Starbucks/Roasters/Palace coffee/ is the Spice Chai Tea Latte. I wanted to figure out a way that I can make one at home. Starting a new healthy lifestyle for me has been an exciting, exhausting and experimental. I am trying to create new ways to stay full and when hungry eat thing that I now are good for my body.

I am sure those of you who follow me on social media know how much I LOVE ..ABSOLUTELY LOVE my espresso maker! Kris gave it to me for Valentines day a few years ago and It is without a doubt one of the best investments he has made besides choosing me for a mate:)!

Until recently I was making latte’s, cappuccino’s and straight up espresso’s, but I decided to try making my Spice Chai Tea Latte

 

It was way more simple than I thought!

I found a recipe on Pinterest and tweaked it… a lot

ingredients are simple:

 

2 Bags Chai Spice Tea– I have always loved the stash brand but any kind will work as long as it is chai SPICE

1- 2 tsp Agave Nectar Raw– Or any sweetener substance( preferably no aspartame)

1/2 cup Almond milk – if you want to eliminate the Agave sweetener you can use vanilla Almond milk

Whipped cream- now, i really wished I had made the whip cream from scratch because it tastes SO delicious, but this is great to, and NO CARBS:)

-I just put the two tea bags into 1/2 cup of water so that the concentration of the tea was better and I had room for the milk. Then, I  put it in the microwave for 1:30

-while that was going i started up my espresso maker. I didn’t need the espresso mode (obviously) so I just clicked the milk froth button. No espresso maker, no problem,

just heat the milk in the microwave or on the stove top until it is nice and hot.

– once the milk is hot/frothy ┬átake out the 2 tea bags that have been steeping while all of the milk magic has been happening and pour in your Agave sweetener over the tea.

-then pour in your milk and top with whipped cream..YUM YUM YUMMO!
